Hoxsie Elementary

Dear Hoxsie Families,

It is my pleasure to extend a heartfelt welcome to you as we begin the 2022-

2023 school year here at Hoxsie Elementary School. To those students and

parents who are new to Hoxsie, we extend an especially warm welcome and best

wishes for an exciting and productive year in your new school. We hope that you

will quickly feel at home and become involved in the activities of our school

through the PTO and your child’s classroom program.

There is an exciting new Reading program called Wit and Wisdom. Wit and

Wisdom is a comprehensive K–8 English language arts curriculum crafted to help

students build the knowledge and skills they need to be successful readers,

exceptional writers, and effective communicators.

We will be having three lunch periods for the students again this year. Lunch

applications are online this year. Speaking of lunches, please remember to send

your child into school with healthy lunches and snacks and a water bottle. Also,

please do not send your child into school with a nut or peanut snack. Students

can bring in peanut or nut products for lunch as we have a peanut-free table!

The start time of school here at Hoxsie is 8:10am and the first bell rings at

8:05am. Please do not drop your children off here at school before 7:45am as

there is no supervision.

The first day of school is Wednesday August 31 st ! Please send in a written

note so your child knows how they are getting home.

Please make sure to update any important information into Aspen.

It is my goal to continue the greatness of Hoxsie Elementary School. The staff

and I are committed to delivering a high quality education to your children. I

always have my door open and please don’t hesitate to contact me here at Hoxsie
